Understanding Your Postnatal Mind Workshop
This is a relaxed, honest talk for mums about what's really going on after having a baby, and why so many of us feel so far from okay.
If you've been Googling your symptoms at 2am, wondering if what you're feeling is normal, or holding it together on the outside while feeling completely different on the inside, then this session is for you.
In the 75 minutes, Rachel (a CBT and IPT therapist specialising in maternal mental health) will walk you through:
- Why the postnatal mind works the way it does (the hormones, the sleep deprivation, the identity shift, and why none of it is your fault)
- What can go wrong, and why it's so often missed; a brief description of postnatal anxiety, PND, birth trauma, and intrusive thoughts
- A few practical, evidence-based tools you can use straight away
This isn't therapy, nobody will be put on the spot, and there's no pressure to share anything. It's simply an honest explanation of what so many mums are quietly experiencing, with space for questions at the end.
Babies are very welcome throughout. Bring them, feed them, do whatever you need to do.
