Therapy with me is calm, supportive, and paced around what feels manageable for you.

Many mothers arrive feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start — especially after a difficult or traumatic birth. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear story to begin.

I offer trauma-informed perinatal therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), tailored specifically for postnatal depression, anxiety and birth trauma. Sessions focus first on helping you feel steadier and more grounded, rather than pushing you to revisit painful experiences before you’re ready

How I Work

There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. Therapy is collaborative and practical, shaped around what you’re struggling with now.

We work together to understand what’s been happening for you and to develop coping strategies that feel realistic and supportive. You won’t be expected to push through or manage alone.

We may work on:

  • Reducing anxiety, panic, and intrusive thoughts

  • Processing birth trauma gradually and safely

  • Improving low mood, motivation, or emotional numbness

  • Rebuilding confidence and trust in yourself as a mother

  • Navigating relationship changes after becoming a parent

When and Where?

I offer 1-to-1 online postnatal therapy across the UK. Many clients find online sessions easier to fit around caring for their baby. Therapy is confidential, supportive, and designed to work alongside family life.

Therapy Is Not

If you’re feeling unsure about therapy, it may help to know what this space is not.

Therapy with me is not:

  • Being pushed to relive your birth in detail

  • An expectation to talk about everything before you’re ready

  • Being told to “think positively” or cope better

  • Judgement of your parenting or your choices

  • A rushed or clinical process

You remain in control of the pace and focus of sessions. Emotional safety and stabilisation are prioritised, particularly when working with birth trauma, anxiety, or depression.
