Hi, I’m Rachel
I’m a qualified psychological therapist specialising in birth trauma, postnatal depression, and postnatal anxiety. I support mums in Hampshire and work online with clients across the UK.
I work with women who feel overwhelmed, anxious, low, or disconnected after birth — often while feeling they should be coping better. Many are carrying distress quietly, unsure whether their experience is “bad enough” to seek support.
Alongside my professional training, I’m also a mum of three. I understand how much becoming a parent can affect your sense of self — especially when your experience doesn’t match what you expected.
If you’d like to explore whether therapy with me feels right, you’re welcome to book a free, no-pressure call.
My Approach
Many of the women I work with feel pressure to move on, be grateful, or minimise what they’re struggling with. My work creates space for your real experience — without judgement or expectation.
I use evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), adapted to the realities of life with a baby. Sessions are calm, collaborative, and practical, with a focus on helping you feel steadier and better able to cope day to day.
I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you don’t need to explain yourself or pretend you’re fine. We work gently to make sense of what you’ve been through, understand how it’s affecting you now, and develop coping strategies that feel realistic and supportive.
You don’t need the right words, a clear story, or a “good enough” reason to be here. If things feel hard right now, that is reason enough.
